From the moment Chelsea reached out to me about shooting her Alaska Wedding next year, I knew working with her and Adam was going to be fun. Alaska is always an attractive prospect but I’ve shot up there a few times now, so whilst the scenery is incredible I’m not blinded by it. Working with incredible people is still just as important to ensuring a successful outcome. After we Skyped I knew we were a great fit and I just hoped we could make it work. We did, and thankfully we were also able to schedule their Alaska Engagement Photos while I was up in Anchorage shooting a wedding. I suggested Denali National Park, a few hours north of Anchorage, and I’m so happy they agreed to make it work. They drove a long way to make this happen and that inspired me to do everything I could to make it as perfect as possible. I scouted these spots the day before and during the shoot itself we all had to combat more mosquitos then I care to remember, hike through overgrown trails, balance on logs traversing rivers and make sure we were in place just in time for the sun dropping behind the towering Denali. Not easy but I think it turned out ok.
