I had the privilege of shooting a Byland Abbey Wedding in Yorkshire with my good friend and disturbingly talented photographer Adam Johnson. I was heading back to shoot another UK wedding in May of this year and when Adam found out he asked if I’d like to 2nd shoot the wedding of Helen and Rob at this beautiful historic wedding venue. I jumped at the chance, obviously.
The location and conditions couldn’t have been more different to my usual Los Angeles weddings and I absolutely loved it – every second of it. Loved the couple, loved the unique venue, managed to worked around the rain (it rained a lot) and learnt so much from working alongside Adam. Very humbling indeed but as motivating an experience as it gets. Hope to do it again one day – maybe in LA next time Adam! You know it’ll rain…

We started with Julian and Stine’s wedding at the glorious Alila Ubud Hotel followed by the phenomenal cliffside wedding of Lauren and Paul overlooking Balangan Beach. Santa Barbara was my next (not so far away) destination for Julie and Nick’s beautiful beach wedding and then in May I headed to the UK for Jig and Emily’s two day wedding in London and during the same trip I got to work with Adam Johnson of ARJ Photography for Helen and Rob’s spectacular Byland Abbey wedding. Such an immense pleasure to work together dude, can’t wait for the next time!
