I had to compose myself for about 5 seconds, not more than that but I did have to stop and re-focus, so to speak. I’m always emotionally invested in what’s happening in front of me on a wedding day, and Christine and Ian’s stunning Calamigos Ranch Wedding was no different. There’s always pressure to perform and a fear you’ll miss a key moment but the overriding emotion often mirrors that which is unfolding just feet away. When Christine put on her dress and stood with the late afternoon light falling on her and with her mum and maid of honour almost in shock at what they saw, the brief loss of composure was inevitable. The sight of Christine caused many people to briefly lose their composure that day – none more so than Ian at the first look!
The challenge I always set myself is that my pictures should always be an honest and genuine reflection of what I witness. I think these do that but I also hope that they show how loving and kind hearted this couple and their families are. Failing that, just how much they all love to dance!
Thank you for your trust.
