This summer I was fortunate enough to photograph my first French Destination Wedding. Even more exciting than that though, it was the wedding of my old colleague and friend Stu and his beautiful wife Riona. When he told me he wanted me to shoot their French wedding, I was obviously humbled, over the moon, and slightly nervous. No-one wants to screw up their friends wedding, especially if you’ve travelled all that way.. Thankfully it turned out ok, and they seem stoked with the results. I’ll always be thankful to them for giving me the opportunity to tell their wedding story in such a beautiful destination, surrounded by such incredible people.
Stunning location aside, Montauban in Southern France to be exact, this wedding was immense. It was a coming together of Irish, Scottish and French friends and family. A sturdy European mix which resulted in the most incredible energy, genuine emotion and a few displays of hairy naked butts. It’s fair to say that this lot know how to party. I left around 2am, went to the afternoon day-after party around 3pm and was told that the newlyweds had only just gone to bed. That’s impressive..
I won’t waste blog space with any more words. Just take a look and see for yourself. I’ll never forget this one.
