When Isabelle and Chris told me they wanted Yosemite engagement photos, I was excited to say the least. Whilst discussing the logistics of their engagement session (they live in NorCAL) I mentioned to Isabelle that I would be traveling north for a Yosemite wedding in mid-May to which she responded with “we’d love to do our engagement session there..!” I may have performed a happy dance after the call. We agreed we could easily schedule their engagement photos for a couple of days prior to Rebecca + Kevin’s Yosemite wedding – good times.
Yosemite National Park treated us to every flavor of weather during this shoot, starting off in the giant sequoias of Mariposa Grove with rain and light snow. The wet stuff did eventually clear and we were left with dark cloudy skies and low hanging fog as we descended in to Yosemite Valley. I think we saw the sun for a few minutes, it might just have been an illusion. Truth be told, no matter what the weather, this place is mind-blowingly beautiful. It was an exhausting session with lots of driving, walking and damp socks but man what an experience. I can’t believe this is my job..
Thank you Isabelle and Chris for being up for the adventure, willing to try anything and making this Yosemite engagement shoot happen.
